MERGER CONTROL SYSTEM

The combination of two or more firms, in which the resulting firm maintains the identity of one of the firms, usually the larger.
The analysis and review of mergers by competition authorities has become steadily more rigorous and sophisticated. In addition the number of countries with merger control legislation is expanding, which presents for some transactions a large number of different merger control regimes to tackle.
